Faryab Clashes Claim 9 Taliban

FARYAB (The Killid) – Afghan security forces carried attack against the militant group in Bul Chiragh district of Faryab Wednesday, killing at least nine Taliban and wounding further four, Ministry of Interior said in a statement.

According to the statement released Thursday, several areas and villages have also been freed from the militant group during the operation.

At least one Humvee tank, including a number of arms and ammunitions, have been seized by the forces.

Meanwhile, at least three of Afghan forces suffered minor injuries, and civilians did not suffer any loss, the statement read.

Taliban immediately did not comment.
