NANGARHAR (The Killid) – Afghan security forces arrested at least 12 insurgent – belonging to different groups – during a one-week operation in eastern province of Nangarhar.

Shah Mahmoud Miakhail, Nangarhar Governor, at a press conference said Thursday Afghan national security forces arrested at least nine Taliban insurgents and three Daesh militant members during a one-week operation.

According to Miakahil, security forces also discovered a vehicle full of explosive devices, which was then defused, and a huge number of arms and ammunitions.

Taliban and Daesh militants have been put down in the province; now they started to spread threats amongst residents by planting mines on roads, he explained.
