Ghani Lays Cornerstone of Darul Aman Administrative Complex

KABUL (The Killid) – Afghan President Ashraf Ghani laid the cornerstone of Darul Aman Administrative Complex at an official ceremony in Kabul Sunday.

"The Complex will be inspired by Modern Islamic architecture patterns as well as classical inspiration sources found during the reign of Timurid, Ghaznavid, Ghorid & Khurasanid dynasties."

At the ceremony, Ghani said all government departments will be transferred to the complex after completing the construction, and the city will remain to the Kabul citizens.

The first phase of the Darul Aman Administrative Complex will be completed in next five years.

After completing the construction, some 27 government offices are to be transferred to Darul Aman areea, including ministries, independent government agencies and judicial bodies.

The project is inaugurated at a time Kabul residents raise concerns over population density in the capital.
