Zimbabwe had already been out of the tournament after losing 3 out of their 4 encounters. The final of the tournament will be played on 24th September in Dhaka. Afghanistan team manager has his say over the availability of Rashid Khan Rashid Khan, who is currently the number 1 spinner in the ICC T20I bowlers rankings, will look to bonker his team’s chances against Bangladesh in the finals if he is fit to play. According to team manager Nazim Jar Abdur Rahim Zai, the injury of the spinner will be monitored for a couple of days and expects that the injury is not serious, “I cannot say that he will be available [for the final],” Zai told reporters. “He is doing well and let’s see what’s happening. We will have two or three days for recovery. I hope it’s not that serious because he is our captain and main player and we will monitor him tomorrow before taking any decision.” Rashid Khan has his say After playing the final league stage, Rashid Khan felt he had the option of not bowling against Bangladesh but it was about his nation, “I shouldn’t have bowled (against Bangladesh) in the last game with an injury but I’d do anything for my country. I saw how Asghar Afghan played in the WC qualifier four days after his appendicitis operation, so if I have a 10% chance, I will always play.” as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo. The 21-year-old Afghanistan spinner has taken 6 wickets in his 4 appearances in the ongoing Tri-series. After struggling with his hamstring in the last match, he went on to take wickets of Mahmudullah and Afif Hossain, though his side ended up facing a defeat.
