Votes to be Recounted in 102 Polling Stations in Herat

(TKG) ─ Officials of Electoral Complaints Commission in Herat have, reportedly, said that complaints filed by electoral teams have been addressed and that the votes in 102 polling stations are subjected to be recounted. Fatema Baqeri, head of the Electoral Complaints Commission in Herat said, “Of the 102 polling stations, votes in 42 stations have not been properly recounted and belong to the first round of reviewing the complaints.” She further added that at the very first phase, the IEC had referred votes of 177 polling stations to be recounted. The Electoral Complaints Commission, however, has announced that votes in more than 5,000 polling stations in 21 provinces need to be recounted.
