Leader of ISIS in Afghanistan Arrested

April 5 (The Killid Group) — The Afghan security forces arrested the leader of the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP), along with 19 other militants on Saturday, said the Afghan National Security Directorate in a statement. According to a statement issued by the Afghan  National Directorate of Security, Aslam Farooqi Orokzai, a Pakistani national, who was earlier associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba was arrested by Afghan forces along with 19 other militants on Saturday, April 4. Among those militants, were two high-ranking commanders, namely Qari Zahid and Saifullah,  the statement by Afghanistan’s intelligence agency read..  The arrest came after ISKP claimed responsibility for the deadly terror attack on a Sikh temple, late in March, leaving 27 killed. On March 25, an armed attack on a Sikh religious complex in the capital Kabul left 27 worshippers dead. Armed gunmen barged into the temple complex, shot the guard and opened fire at the worshippers.
