At least 10 Taliban militants were killed in two separate clashes in Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province on Wednesday, officials said.

The first clash happened when militants attacked a convoy of Afghan forces in Gelan district, as a result of which six militants were killed and six more were wounded.

The second clash happened in Arzo area of the provincial capital, also Ghazni, as a result of which four militants were killed. The clash involved also air forces.

Weapons and ammunition were seized following both the clashes. Afghan forces suffered no casualties, officials said.

The clashes happened three days after a three-day Eid ceasefire ended on Sunday.

In a separate incident, seven civilians were killed when the vehicle they were travelling was struck by a roadside bomb in Khashrod district of Nimruz province, officials said Wednesday.
