Bahram Haqmal, spokesperson for Nimruz governor, confirmed that the incident took place on Wednesday, September 17, in the second district of Zaranj.

The woman, whose identity remains secret, was killed after a Jirga of tribal elders failed to resolve the husband and wife dispute, according to Mr. Haqmal.
