Ghani's second VP meets exiled Dostum in Turkey, invites him to Afghanistan

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani's second Vice President Sarwar Danish met with First Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum on Monday evening and invited him to Afghanistan.

During the meeting, Danish called Dostum’s presence as a “big personality with national influence” in Afghanistan a necessity and an effective move in the establishment of a national dialogue, advancement of peace process, elections and strengthening of national unity, according to statements issued by offices of both the VPs.

Dostum office’s statement added that all necessary efforts should be made for the immediate return of the VP to Afghanistan.

During the meeting, Dostum also should give satisfactory response to civilian movements in north northeast of the country and release Nizamuddin Qaisari, police chief of Qaisar district in Faryab, based on the statement.

Dostum hoped that the country’s problems would be resolved soon in an atmosphere of trust, mutual cooperation and mutual understanding.
