Deadly Jalalabad suicide bombing leaves 10 dead

AT-KABUL: More than 10 people including twosecurity forces were killed after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a checkpoint in eastern Nangarhar’s Jalalabad city on Tuesday morning, said provincial officials.

A suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden suit close to a security check-post at around 10am in the 6thPolice Districtin Jalalabad city, said Nangarhar Spokesman Attaullah Khogiani.

The blast left 10 people including eight civilians and two NDS forcesdead and four others including twocivilian and two security forceswounded. The injured have been hospitalized with one of them in critical health condition, he added.

The explosion was so heavy that some shops and vehicleswere burnt in its vicinity. No immediate responsibility has been claimed for the attack by any armed group yet, but both Daesh and Taliban terrorists groups are operating across Nangarhar.
