NPC Approves 68 Contracts Worth Over 7 Billion Afs

The National Procurements Commission (NPC) meeting, with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair, on Monday evening, approved up to 68 contracts costing 7. 44 billion afs.

The 68 contracts were among the 73 recruitments plans, which have been approved in the meeting held at The Presidential Palace, said the statement.

The contracts included Nili City’s road building project relating to the ministry of public works, Bangi and Eshkamish water supply project in northern Takhar province, relating to the ministry of urban development, building of the 12.38 km road in Dashti Barchi of the capital Kabul, signing an interstate contract of 10 GB internet with the Uzbek Telecom company and many others, according to the statement.

The NPC meeting also approved the amendment of the second term with increase in the prices of18 contracts related to the Basic Package of Health Service (BPHS) and the amendment of the first term with the increase the prices of 16 contracts of the (BPHS) in 31 provinces of the country, relating to the ministry of public health, the statement further said.

In addition, the meeting approved the project of Main-Link internet services offer to automatize the customhouses 24-hour working system and the Back-Up-Link internet service offer for the automatizing the finance ministry’s work affairs in19 sites, the statement added.

The ministry of defense’ offer for providing medical equipment for the MoD’s Chief of Staff and some other offers, have been returned for more investigation, the statement continued.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani instructed for the formation of a delegation consisting representatives from The Presidential Office and the ministry of urban development to assess the defense ministry’s contracts for making decision about, in the future.

The president, once again insisted about the practice monitoring of the projects and use of domestic products and settlement of the companies’ tax.
