Power Sub-Station Benefitting 30,000 Families Inaugurated in Kapisa

President Mohammad Ashraf inaugurated the Gul Bahar sub-station in central Kapista province on Wednesday in the presence of local officials and tribal leaders.

Funded by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the project will benefit 30,000 more families in addition to the 11,100 families currently receiving electricity from the sub-station.

According to a statement from the presidential palace, the project cost USD 65.8 million.

The sub-station also supplies electricity to Parwan, Panjshir and Nangarhar provinces.
