The presence of men and women in polling centers and stations is impressive

KABUL, Afghanistan: The Independent Election Commission (IEC) said that the presence of men and women in polling centers and stations is significant in the early minutes of the morning. Today Shaima Alam Soroush, the Deputy Spokesperson of IEC in a joint press conference expressed optimism about the great turnout of women and men in polling centers and stations. She added that the process of opening the centers has been delayed due to technical reasons in some areas, which is solved now.
Ms. Soroush also said those 4,900 centers and 20,000 polling stations in 32 provinces, except Kandahar and Ghazni provinces, are open to voters, and still no problems have been reported.
Munira Yousafzada, deputy governor of Kabul, welcomed the extraordinary presence of voters, especially women, at various polling stations in this province. She said polls in Kabul's centers and stations began at 7:00 am and people have been using their right to vote, with widespread presence.
Meanwhile, IDLG spokesperson said the voting process has begun in the polling centers and stations in 32 provinces of the country, and so far no problems have been reported from the provinces and districts.                                                                           
The spokesperson of MoI reassured people the security of polling centers and stations in 32 provinces of the country, adding that elections materials were delivered to Mandol and Do-Abb districts of Nuristan province.
