No one’s vote will be wasted and everyone can cast their polls

KABUL, Afghanistan: The Independent Election Commission (IEC) assures that no vote of voters will be wasted, and this commission will pave the ground to everyone to cast their votes.
Shaima Alam Soroush, IEC deputy spokesperson at press conference held today said, in Polling Stations where the election materials were sent later or delayed, the voting process is extended to 8pm evening. She said that Polling stations that election materials were not sent until 1:00pm and polling process not begun on time, or IEC staff were not present, the voting process will be held tomorrow.
Ms. Soroush added, “Of the 4,900 polling centers, there were problem in 360 centers that measures are taken solve the issue, so that the voting process starts at those centers.”
She asked people to support this national process with their widespread supports, and stand against any kind of conspiracy and propaganda of the enemies and the opponents.
Meanwhile, Najib Danish, MoI spokesperson acknowledged that the voting process has so far continued in more than 19,000 polling stations and 4,900 polling centers, with no security problems and there is no report that caused closure of any polling centers or polling stations yet.
Ghafoor Ahmad Javid, MoD spokesperson expressed his optimism about the cooperation of the people with the security forces, saying all forces have been given direction to ensure the security of the polling centers throughout the country. He added that Afghan security forces are ready to provide security to all the polling stations that will be extended for tomorrow.
