10 IS extremists dead in western Afghanistan

KABUL: Afghan forces have killed 10 Islamic State terrorists

inside a village in western Badghis province during a raid which led to the

arrest of 16 other extremists, the military said on Sunday.

Afghan defense and security forces launched the operation in

ChashmeSher village of Jawand district of Badghis, which resulted at killing of

10 Daesh fighters, said a statement issued by Ministry of Defense (MoD).

As many as 16 more Daesh affiliates including foreign

fighters were arrested during crackdown in the district.

Women and children of Daesh fighters were also among

detained people.
