Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has taken a massive decision ahead of their second appearance in the World Cup which is set to start from May 30. Asghar Afghan has been sacked from captaincy by the board from all the three formats and this comes as a shocking development from the Asian country. The team looked settled under him and had won all the three series against Ireland which was their final international assignment before the mega event.

According to the reports in TOLO News, Gubadin Naib has been named the ODI captain and will be now leading the team in the World Cup. The squad for the event will also be soon announced and things will get clearer then in terms of captaincy. As far as the T20Is are concerned, Rashid Khan will lead the side while Rahmat Shah has been handed over the Test captaincy.
